Source: Bangor Daily News, MaineNov.迷你倉 08--PORTLAND, Maine -- Deputy Attorney General Bill Stokes spent Friday morning chipping away at the notion that new DNA analysis in the 25-year-old Sarah Cherry murder case doesn't bring Dennis Dechaine, who is serving a life sentence for the crime, any closer to exoneration.Dechaine's defense attorney, Steven Peterson, has contended that the DNA evidence, which was produced by new analysis during the past few years, points to an alternative suspect and in some cases excludes Dechaine as a suspect.Much of Stokes' questioning Friday morning of DNA expert Dr. Greg Hampikian focused on the quality of the DNA samples and the likelihood that the DNA came from Cherry's killer. The issue of how the DNA was transferred to Cherry's clothing and fingernails is crucial to Dechaine's bid for a new trial. Under a law enacted in Maine in 2006, defendants relying on DNA evidence in their appeals must prove that the DNA could only have come from the perpetrator of the crime.Hampikian said that as far as he can tell, detectives and forensic experts have handled the evidence correctly over the years but that doesn't mean necessarily that no contamination occurred."There's always a concern when you have a case where it's been 25 years since evidence collection," said Hampikian. "The concerns are that I can't be sure that the evidence was properly separated at all times."Much of the defense's case is focused on biological matter that was found under Cherry's thumbnail. The DNA there has been found to not include Dechaine's but does include the DNA of another male. DNA from two males was found on Cherry's shirt and a scarf that was used to strangle her. Neither Dechaine nor an alternative suspect can be excluded as the source of that DNA, though the match is far from 100 percent.Hampikian said the very best DNmini storage evidence available in the case statistically narrows the DNA donor to about 1 in 200, far short of the 1 in millions or billions that would constitute a match.None of the DNA is of high enough quality to provide a 100 percent match to Dechaine or any other suspect.Peterson is arguing that the DNA implicates an alternative suspect whose name has long been associated with the case. That person has been named in court but the Bangor Daily News is not publishing his name because he has never been charged in connection with the case. A private investigator hired by Dechaine's supporters went to Florida and secretly acquired the man's DNA from a coffee cup."If I was working with this case fresh and I started with the DNA, the possibility of more than one perpetrator is definitely there," said Hampikian.At one point Stokes' questioning of Hampikian drew a rebuke from Justice Carl O. Bradford, who is presiding over the hearing."We're getting a little argumentative here," said Bradford. "Let's confine ourselves to questions and answer."The hearing in Cumberland County Superior Court was expected to last for much of Friday. A decision by Bradford is expected to be rendered in writing in the coming days or weeks.Peterson said Thursday that even though the evidence is not conclusive, it could well lead to a different outcome for Dechaine, particularly given the fact that Dechaine's DNA was not found under Cherry's fingernails."This is the very kind of thing that a jury would consider to be reasonable doubt," said Peterson to reporters outside the courthouse. The engineer pushed his survey at top speed promising that lots could be sold beginning October 4," Anna Hansen Hayes, wife of the man who led the survey work, wrote in an article for the 1962 publication "A Folk History of Twin Falls County."The engineer's promise set the stage for a dramatic race to Albion in that important day's waning hours. Albion was the Cassia County seat, where plats and maps were filed.When Oct. 4, 1904, arrived, a survey of the rest of the original Twin Falls townsite was complete, and a draftsman was scrambling to complete maps that had to be filed in the Cassia courthouse before legal sales could be made.Apparently, Twin Falls promoters weren't eager to miss their self-imposed deadline.We use Hayes' account of that night's long drive to Albion. At best, she said, the trip was usually 6 1/2 hours of hard driving."Ten miles an hour was too much for an ordinary team on a prolonged drive, but George Bassett, operator of a livery stable in the new Twin Falls, had a team that he was willing to hire out for the critical dash," Hayes wrote. "By round-about relayed telephone messages, it was arranged that the clerk at the recorder's office in Albion would be on duty whenever the plat arrived and since October 4 was stilmini storage October 4 until midnight, he would not close his office before that hour."The trip began at 5:45 p.m. Skies were overcast but the road was dry and the evening was cool, almost cold. Then driver and team resumed their task."The horses seemed to catch the spirit of the race," Hayes wrote, "and the pace never slacked even on the narrow, twisting canyon grade into the Albion Valley. It was 11:45 when the tired team and its eager driver stopped in front of the courthouse."True to promise, a light still shone from the window of the Recorder's office, and the official plat of the Twin Falls townsite was received and regularly recorded while it was still October 4, 1904," Hayes wrote.That final plat of the entire square-mile townsite made official its unpopular name of Twin Falls, according to local history author Mary J. 各項目的國家級運動隊幾乎每年都會組織軍訓，儲存尤其在全運會後進入備戰新奧運周期的初始期，一方面是讓教練員和運動員聚在一起對新階段的競賽和訓練進行研究交流，其次也有動員的性質。今年，國家田徑隊選擇上井岡山，重點運動員幾乎全部到齊，甚至連久未露面的劉翔也現身了。此前，在美國康複治療的劉翔，因為簽証需要續簽回到上海。盡管回國，但劉翔在莘莊基地深居簡出，避開公�和媒體，表現得十分低調，而這一次前往井岡山，也完全是國家田徑管理中心的安排。按照計劃，在隊伍抵達井岡山的第二天，將召開備戰里約奧運會的動員大會，而在會後，讓劉翔參加與全體隊員的座談是一項重要內容。無論成績、資歷，作為國家田徑隊中絕對的旗幟，田管中心需要這位“大師兄”站出來跟晚輩們談談心得。劉翔義不容辭地來了，並且認真地完成了與隊友座談的任務。3日上山，4日一早便又匆匆離開，許多媒體甚至尚未反應過來。其實，出席田徑隊內部活動，劉翔這次也有意地迴避與媒體接觸，進行座談會時，盡管央視、新華社和中國體育報等媒體已經得到了田管中心領導允許進入現場，但卻在劉翔本人堅持下還是離開了現場。很多人關心的是劉翔到底還能不能復出?對此，孫海平教練說得很明白：劉翔認為自己還有機會，但具體能否復出，沒有時間表，等到開始上量訓練，能跑進13 秒20而且他的腳能夠承受強度時，才能說復出的事。如果做不到，那只能決定退役，這是無法強求的事。一名從大學畢業就開始採訪劉翔的記者在井岡山看到劉翔後說，“看到他現在的樣子，心裡很不是滋味，很酸。雅典奧運會之前我就採訪他，當時的他風華正茂，非常陽光。2005年他到宜春比賽，我也來了，那時我們都是無憂無慮的。”十年間，當年採訪劉翔的小姑娘已經結婚生子，而劉翔在經歷兩次巨大打擊後卻仍然在堅持，“他老了，你看他的臉。”那記者幽幽地說。文/圖記者劉源京城三少沈陽全運會上，來自北京隊的張培萌、李金哲和王宇分別摘得男子百米、男子跳遠和男子跳高金牌，三人年紀個頭相仿，私下關係也非常好，加上陽光帥氣的形象，堪稱中國體育第一“偶像組合”。張培萌他是百米跑道上第一個跑出10秒整的中國人，也是第二個做到這一點的黃種人。僅憑這一點，張培萌已經可以被載入中國體育史冊，但他的路還遠未結束。今年的沈陽全運會，如果說只有兩個懸念，其一是孫楊的金牌數，另外便是張培萌能否破10秒。盡管最終沒能做到，但獲得劉翔級別的迷你倉注已經足以令人驚訝。白淨、靦腆，是張培萌留給人的第一印象。在井岡山，中國飛人低調隨和，儘量滿足著所有粉絲的合影要求。記者也難得不在包夾之下一邊爬山一邊與他進行交流。說到劉翔，張培萌的評價是：“中國有兩種運動員，一種是劉翔，一種是其他運動員。”客觀講，因為項目不同，劉翔在110米欄上的成就張培萌終其職業生涯都無法達到。張培萌說，他平常訓練跑圈從來不會超過400米。訓練就像存錢，比賽就像花錢，世錦賽跑出10秒，全運會奪冠，張培萌可以說已經把“今年的錢”全部花光了，“練要好好練，歇就徹底歇，從井岡山回去後，我就要開始新一周期的正式訓練 了。”張培萌說。王宇有著濃濃書卷氣的王宇與傳統的運動健將形象格格不入。戴著眼鏡，安靜的他更像是從哪部偶像劇中走出來的“偶巴”。不過，全運會跳高冠軍，這個頭銜已經屬於他了，王宇出生于體育世家，因為當年在全國中學生比賽中奪冠，他獲得了特招進入清華的機會。其實，王宇才接觸跳高5年，而且至今仍然不是專業運動員，從小學到高中再到大學，一切訓練都在學校，即便如此，他已經是現役選手中跳得最高的人。在教練王嘉陵眼中，王宇的最大優勢是他的頭腦，身為理科生的他甚至會將物理知識中的向心力、慣性和重心融入訓練。關於文武雙全還有兩件事：其一，2011 年，王宇到南昌參加全國田徑冠軍賽。賽後，王宇和隊友一起去了滕王閣，面對滔滔贛江，心情大好的王宇將《滕王閣序》一氣背出，身邊的小伙伴都驚呆了。其二，在國家田徑隊內，王宇是唯一一名不用翻譯與外教無障礙溝通的運動員。李金哲和白淨靦腆的張培萌還有斯文安靜的王宇相比，高大帥氣的李金哲更具偶像氣質。而在這支國家田徑隊里，李金哲也是最鬼馬的一個。不管是在大巴車上還是在軍訓場，上躥下跳表情搞笑，李金哲的精力似乎永遠都用不完，教練和教官也少不了對他特別關注。今年是李金哲的本命年，24歲的他過得確實不太順利，備戰莫斯科世錦賽時，他居然在進行力量訓練時被杠鈴杆砸傷了腳趾，趾甲蓋當時就掀起來了。在莫斯科，他雖然盡全力跳進決賽，但卻沒能獲得名次。井岡山上，說起自己受傷的故事，李金哲自嘲地說，“其實多著呢，我的倒霉事兒都能寫本書了。”全運會上帶傷跳出8.34米奪冠，平了個人最好成績，放在莫斯科世錦賽上，這個成績能進前三。全運會後，李金哲把那根斷掉的腳指甲拽了下來，用酒精泡著，放在宿舍桌上，“這是警鐘。”李金哲說。儲存倉
