Source: Milwaukee Journal SentinelOct.存倉 31--The top three entrepreneurial teams at Startup Weekend Milwaukee 2013 will receive free advice about scaling up their businesses from Upscalability LLC, a local consulting firm.Upscalability, which was started by Manoli Kulutbanis, a former senior executive at MillerCoors, helps venture capitalists, angels and company founders assess a start-up's potential and figure out how to improve it."He's taken a great approach to researching what drives scalability and has made that into a really valuable tool entrepreneurs can understand," said Matt Cordio, a co-founder of Startup Milwaukee, which is also an organizer for the event.Startup Weekend is a 54-hour marathon event where teams form around initial ideas that participants present on Friday. The resulting collaborations will be judged on Sunday night. Fifteen new companies were formed at the Milwaukee event last year.Startup Weekends a儲存e organized in cities across the country and are affiliated with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. Participants tend to be software developers, graphics designers and business people, and they focus on building software applications and developing a commercial case around them.The top two teams at the Milwaukee event will also win the opportunity to pitch to Gener8tor for its winter start-up training class.Kulubanis, a members of the Golden Angels investing network, will be at the event coaching teams and serving as a judge for the competition.Startup Weekend Milwaukee will take place at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Joseph J.
